Scaling Global Telecom Wholesale with Automated Efficiency
As a premier global supplier for the consumer telecom sector, Azcom manages a high-tier portfolio including brands like Apple, Ferrari, and Lacoste. Their primary friction point was the complexity of international expansion. Azcom needed to launch effectively into multiple European markets without exponentially increasing their administrative workload or diverting their team from core business operations. Managing siloed inventory across different regions and keeping B2B customer groups synchronized was a significant hurdle to their "speed-to-market" goals. They required a unified, high-performance platform that could handle both D2C sales and high-volume B2B wholesale from a single Dutch warehouse.
The Integration
To meet these enterprise-level demands, we architected a Shopify Plus solution featuring multiple expansion stores for key European markets. This ecosystem is powered by a real-time inventory sync to a central admin, ensuring B2B and D2C stock levels are always accurate. We integrated SparkLayer to handle the heavy lifting of their wholesale operations, including custom price lists per customer group, VIP collections, and Sales Agent ordering. The technical stack was further bolstered by Sendcloud for complex, conditional shipping rules and Sufio for automated, tax-compliant international invoicing. To ensure a seamless transition, we executed an extensive CSV data migration for their vast product catalog and launched a comprehensive Klaviyo automation strategy to drive retention across all regions.
The Impact
By leveraging the power of Shopify Plus and SparkLayer, Azcom has successfully scaled into new European territories with minimal impact on staff overhead. The automated sync between regional stores and the central warehouse has eliminated the risk of overselling, while the self-service B2B portal has empowered their retail partners to manage their own orders, restocks, and pre-orders. With Sufio handling the complexities of international tax and a custom loyalty program fostering long-term D2C relationships, Azcom now operates a "hands-off" global engine. The result is a flourishing international presence where the technical infrastructure supports rapid growth rather than creating a barrier to it.
